Sepropag 24% AS
Imazapic 24%
Imazapic: A selective herbicide used in agriculture.
Inert Ingredients: These components are essential for formulation stability, application, and efficacy. Specific inert ingredients vary depending on the manufacturer's formulation.
Mode of Action:
Sepropag is absorbed through the leaves and translocated to the underground tubers and rhizomes of yellow and purple nutsedge. The herbicide causes the plant to yellow, starting from the inner leaves and progressing outward, eventually turning brown and leading to the plant's death within 10–20 days after application.
Mechanism of Action:
Sepropag disrupts the synthesis of essential branched-chain amino acids, such as leucine, isoleucine, and valine, by inhibiting the enzyme acetolactate synthase (ALS).
Advantages of Sepropag:
- Effectively targets yellow and purple nutsedge in peanut cultivation.
Features
- Contains Imazapic as the active ingredient.
- Specific formulation for targeted weed control.
Benefits
The benefits will vary depending on the specific application. Generally, herbicides like Sepropag 24% AS offer:
- Effective weed control, leading to increased crop yields.
- Improved crop quality.
- Reduced weed competition for resources (water, nutrients).
